What’s Next for Volcanism in Love?

Good morning, readers.

It feels like it’s been eons since I posted a topic on the blog; that means it’s high time to research, write, and inform.

I’ve written a lot about individual volcanoes around the world and, believe me, I have yet to scratch the surface of this topic. Something that I’ve often overlooked and taken for granted is the process of determining a dormant from an extinct volcano and, if the time comes, warning signs and symptoms of an active volcano. One of the most important roles of geologists around the world is investigating possible active volcanoes and setting up proper warning systems and evacuation plans for local communities. Understanding symptoms of an impending eruption can be a matter of life and death for populations living in close proximity to a volcano.

Stay tuned for a series of posts to help you learn more about volcanic activity.
